<p>In my opinion and based on the research I&#8217;ve done, I believe the answer is &#8220;YES&#8221;.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve learnt over the years that there are certain food types that increase our body&#8217;s pH levels, this is the acidity level of our body and in particular our blood.</p>
<p>In an attempt to keep our body&#8217;s safe i.e. to stop the acid in our body burning through all our organs (perhaps a little over exaggerated, but in principle this is true), our body stores fat.  It uses the fat to line our organs and circulation system, coating everything in a protective layer.</p>
<p>So by definition, there are food types that cause us to store fat.  These food types include animal proteins, sugar, cooked oils, refined carbohydrates and so.  Most of the stuff we know isn&#8217;t that good for us.</p>
<p>Even too much foot isn&#8217;t good for us.  The Fructose, fruit sugar, breaks down into an acid, increases our body&#8217;s pH level and we store fat.</p>
<p>High acidity in our body&#8217;s is also one of the main causes of <a title="Yeast Infection and Candida Albicans Cure" href="http://www.yeastinfectionhelp.org" target="_blank">Candida Albicans</a>, more commonly known as Yeast Infection or Thrush.</p>
<p>So if this is true, that there are food types that cause us to store fat, then <strong>there must be fat burning foods available too</strong>, and there are.</p>
<p>So what we are looking for are foods that lower our pH levels.  Fat burning foods are foods that have a high alkaline level, and the simplest way to discover these if through their colour.</p>

<p>The best of these is probably Wheat Grass.  The Chlorophyll in this is apparently the nearest thing, chemically, to hemoglobin in blood, especially when it it juiced fresh.</p>
<p>Personally I don&#8217;t mind it, but it does taste like grass.</p>
<p>But the point is, if it helps balance your body&#8217;s pH level, then your body won&#8217;t need to store fat to protect itself, so be default, these green food types are <em>&#8220;Fat Burning Foods&#8221;</em>.</p>
<p>The added benefit of this is that it can significantly increase your energy levels.  So if you workout, you can do so better and harder because you have more energy.</p>
<p>So there&#8217;s a double benefit, Fat Burning Foods will help you lose belly fat, but also give you the energy to have better ab workouts and build six pack abs faster.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So this morning my ab workout was based on the abdominal exercises outlined in the P90x Ab Ripper X routine.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been a fan of Tony Horton for many years, mainly because he&#8217;s the same age as me, yet looks incredibly better, so whatever he recommends, I do endorse.</p>
<p>I saw the p90x program on an infomercial whilst on holiday in the states and bought it when I got back home.</p>
<p>I like all the routines and&#8230;</p>
<p>&#8230;it has certainly shown me how to get rid of belly fat.</p>
<p>The Ab Ripper X routine from the P90X programme entails doing 350 continuous abdominal exercises.  The key for me with this ab routine is that it&#8217;s not all crunching, and does put a lot of emphasis into developing your core muscle group, which is different to the muscles that make up your six pack abs.</p>
<p>Working your core, which is a set of muscles that lie just under the six pack, is important for building overall strength, which therefore helps mitigate injury when doing other muscle building exercise.</p>
<p>A strong set of core abdominal muscles, creates a stronger back, improves your posture and I believe provides a great foundation for your six pack abs.</p>
<p>Version 2 of P90X has recently been released and although I can&#8217;t comment on it&#8217;s quality, as I haven&#8217;t purchased it yet, I can say that if it&#8217;s anything like it&#8217;s predecessor, it will be excellent.<img class="alignright size-full wp-image-867" title="P90X Ab Workouts" src="http://www.fast-abs.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Screen-shot-2011-12-05-at-14.48.40.png" alt="ab workouts P90X Ab Workouts" width="151" height="143" /></p>
<p>The Ab Ripper X workout contains a series of ab workouts that last about 17 mins, but if you last that long you&#8217;re doing extremely well.</p>
<p>The P90X programme (and I assume P90X II) can be done in the comfort of your own home and doesn&#8217;t require any gym memberships.</p>
<p>It does require the use of a few dumbbells and a chin up bar.  Alternatively, all the exercises can be done using bands, and every video routine shows all variations of each method of the exercises.</p>
<p>All routines are also applicable for men and women.  So whether it&#8217;s Ab Workouts for Men or Ab Workouts for Women you&#8217;re after, it does address both, equally well.</p>
<p>So, a bit of plug for P90X, granted, but I do like it and do recommend it, and will be ordering my version 2 for the new year.</p>

<p>I do believe that many of these products can help you develop your abdominal muscles.  What they won&#8217;t do in isolation is give the 6 pack you desire.  You need to burn the belly fat to do this as well.</p>
<p>So what I&#8217;m saying is that these products, when sold as a fat spot reducing device that provides ab workouts that target Love Handles for example, this is wrong.  Love Handles are fat, developing muscle won&#8217;t reduce them.</p>
<p>So with all that, here&#8217;s a video showing 5 abdominal exercises that can be carried out using an Ab Roller to develop your six pack abs.</p>

<p>Even though you see them in the shops, on TV and in lots of publications, there are no magic pills or supplements too help you lose your belly fat quickly.</p>
<p>You should by now know my thoughts on ab rockers and belts etc and the fact that you can&#8217;t spot reduce your belly fat to get a flat stomach.</p>
<p>The ONLY is a good nutritious diet full of full of what you could call fat burning and the right exercise program that creates the necessary hormonal and metabolic activities within your body.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s important to note that there are two types of body fat.  The first is called Subcutaneous fat and lies just beneath the skin.</p>
<p>The second is called Visceral fat and surrounds your organs which is very dangerous to our health.</p>

<p>In this post I want to give you a quick tip on <strong>how to lose weight on your stomach</strong> to help show off your sixpack abs if that&#8217;s your desire, or to simply reduce your waistline and improve your health.</p>
<p>Note, it isn&#8217;t possible to do spot reduction i.e. to remove love handles etc, there isn’t just one thing you can do to stimulate fat loss from your stomach area.</p>
<p>Another myth is that doing abdominal exercises like sit ups will actually help you lose weight in your stomach region.  Ab workouts and abdominal exercises are designed to develop your abdominal muscles, they are not designed to reduce belly fat.</p>
<p>The best way for losing weight off your stomach, is to carry out exercises that develop the largest muscle groups. These groups of muscles are your legs, chest and back. The benefit of carrying out these exercises is that it increases your body’s metabolic rate. Your metabolic rate increases during the workout and can stay high for the next 48 hours; burning belly fat!</p>
<p>Doing purely <em>abdominal exercises</em> doesn&#8217;t create the metabolic rate increase needed to burn belly fat.</p>
<p>In addition to the increased metabolic rate your body achieves through the practice of these fundamental muscle building exercises, it also increases the production of various hormones that have been attributed to the loss of belly fat.</p>

This simply means that you do not have excessive rest periods between each set of repetitions, or between each set of exercises. The goal is to work hard, get your heart pumping and increase your metabolic rate.</p>

But there is no benefit in having well developed abdominal muscles, if they are covered by a large layer of fat. <p>If you understand this principle, you will see that it is impossible to lose belly fat by simply sitting on the sofa with an ab belt of some description strapped to you.</p>

<p>Is it possible that we could get rid of belly fat through the consumption of certain food types?</p>
<p>Well let me start by saying “No”, there is no miracle food that will eliminate belly fat, but there are some food types that can help, and that’s what I want to describe in today’s post.</p>
<p><strong>How to get rid of belly fat</strong> is on of the key components of creating the perfect set of <strong>Six Pack Abs</strong>.  Building muscle is only half the equation, so let me explain about the types of foods that could be called <em><strong>&#8220;Fat Burning Foods&#8221;</strong></em>, and why I say this.</p>
<p>We are all aware of the pollutants that live in our food and water supplies.  Pesticides, herbicides, household cleaners and many other chemicals, including large amounts of medication, are passing into our food chain.</p>
<p>One of the most common chemicals that is effecting out lives in many ways, are Estrogen hormones.  These are making their way into our water, and therefore our food supply from the residue of Birth Control Pills passed through Urine.</p>
<p>Estrogen has the effect of increasing the body’s ability to store belly fat in both men and women.  Yes, note this is a problem for both sexes, not just women!</p>
<p>It’s worth noting that these chemicals are also being associated with other medical conditions and health problems, including cancer over the longer term.</p>

<p>Vegetables that are called “Cruciferous” vegetables, including Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Kale Cabbage, Bok Choy and Cauliflower, contain specific micro-nutrients/phytonutrients that fight the estrogen compounds in our systems.</p>
<p>In particular, for those of you who might wish to research this further, this is a nutrient called Indole 3 Carbinol.</p>
<p>Eating these specific vegetables on a regular basis won’t on their own cure belly fat and give you that flat stomach, but they will go someway towards addressing this challenge.  And anything that helps our cause, can only be a good thing; right?</p>
<p>Where possible, I would recommend that you eat these raw to get the maximum effect.  It’s amazing when we think back to when our parents used to tell us to “Eat More Greens”, how did they know the power of these super foods without all the scientific research that we have today?</p>
<p>A simple recipe that I picked up, and is also great for increasing energy levels, involves eating lightly steamed Brocholli, with a slight drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and spash of lemon juice.</p>
<p>Green vegetables like this are also proven to increase your body’s Alcalinity, and this too many researchers say, can go a long way towards reducing the retention of body fat.</p>

<br />So do you want to have strong abs, or visable abs? </p>
<p>Remember, that everyone has abs. But, everyone also has a layer of fat over them, some more than others. You need to enforce a low fat diet for them to be visable to the eye. Keep up with the situps, pushups, flutter kicks, leg lifts, etc and get on the low fat diet and you&#8217;ll eventually see them.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t get discouraged though; your abs are some of the hardest muscles to make visable to most people. Just keep working at it.</p>
